Basaseachic Falls, the highest waterfall in Mexico is certainly worth a visit.  The road to the falls is remote and rather risky in parts but the destination is worth the trip.

During winter the falls are relatively restricted.  However the falls during the summer are spectacular.  The flow of water is extremely strong and entertaining.

Fun in the snow

From a vantage point near the road the falls can be seen.  A half hour hike to the top of the falls and a four/five hour hike to the base are available.  Unfortunately due to time restraints we were only able to journey to the top of the falls.  The scenery is fantastic.  The rugged mountanoues cliffs forming the canyon are spectacular.

"Mexico has snow" cried Andrew much to his delight.  Yes, it snows in Mexico.

Along the way to Basaseachic we stopped to have some fun in the snow.

Warning : find a sled that has brakes.
