Mazatlan, situated on the Western Coastline, plays  winter host to hundreds of American retirees.  Snowbirds as they are called, relocate for the American winter by jumping aboard their RVs (equipped with satellite dishes ofcourse) and drive down to Mexico to escape the cold.

Mazatlan therefore caters to the older American tourist.  The town has a few nightspots of repute and has a tourist strip to match all other tourist cities.

Game Fishing
The most noteworthy part of our visit was the game fishing that we enjoyed. Our boat  was fantastic, especially considering that it cost only $60US per person for six people.

The fish however were not very cooperative that day.  The day before we visited, our boat took in large mackerel as pictured below.  However, we returned empty handed.  We did however see a whale and some dolphins during our eight hour trip.
